Case 1 Timeline & Proceedings
November 14, 2025 — Arraignment
Danley was found indigent, appointed a public defender, and entered a plea of not guilty. Trial dates were set for April 6, 2026.
December 3, 2025 — First Sanction for Pretrial Violations
Following a string of pretrial and GPS violation reports through November, the State filed a petition for sanctions. Danley failed to appear at a December 1 hearing on the petition; at a sanctions hearing held December 3, he was sanctioned to 150 days in the LaSalle County Jail — 25 days for each of six violations — and remanded to custody.
January 20, 2026 — Motion for Relief Denied
Danley’s motion for relief from the sanction, filed in December, was denied following hearings on January 9 and January 16. Trial dates were reinstated for March 26 and April 6, 2026. Danley filed a notice of appeal in February; the appeal was later dismissed as moot in March.
March 12, 2026 — Second Sanction for Pretrial Violations
Following additional violation reports, the State filed another sanctions petition. At a hearing held March 12, Danley was sanctioned to 30 additional days in the LaSalle County Jail for violating his pretrial release conditions.

At a final pretrial hearing, the jury trial date was stricken and new dates set for May 28, June 25, and July 27, 2026.
May 8, 2026 — Third Sanction for Pretrial Violations
After a fourth sanctions hearing on April 24, at which Danley failed to appear, the parties agreed on May 8 to a further sanction of 30 additional days in the LaSalle County Jail for violating pretrial release conditions.
June 25, 2026 — Trial Date Stricken Again
A final pretrial hearing held May 28 left trial dates standing, but at the next final pretrial on June 25, Danley failed to appear and the trial date was stricken.
July 23, 2026 — Pretrial Release Revoked Following High-Speed Chase
A passenger in the vehicle identified Danley as the driver in a July 22 high-speed chase through southern LaSalle County that ended when deputies used stop sticks to disable the vehicle; Danley fled on foot and was apprehended after a multi-day manhunt. The State filed a verified petition to revoke Danley’s pretrial release, and following a hearing on July 23, his release was revoked and he was ordered detained. Case 2 Background
This case stems from the same July 22, 2026 high-speed chase that led to the revocation of Danley’s pretrial release in the home invasion case, above. A passenger in the vehicle told investigators Danley was driving when he refused to stop for a suspected stolen vehicle, leading deputies on a chase through southern LaSalle County that reached speeds of up to 126 mph before deputies used stop sticks to disable the vehicle in a cornfield. An infant was in the vehicle at the time, and a loaded firearm was recovered. Danley fled on foot and was apprehended the same day.
